Natalie got a new toy.

Well, Natalie's friend is a bad influence on her. Stacey Dartnell took her shopping the other day and they brought home a new toy, a Bernina sewing machine.

She already sewed a shirt!

Quin's Bandage Job

About a month ago or so, I inadvertently left the curling iron on. When I went to pick up the bathroom, I scooped up the items on the bathroom sink, including the curling iron. I burnt my arm pretty badly. I had a huge blister on my arm and when it finally burst, I had Quin put a bandage on my arm. Below is the result.

Yes, that is gauze, surgical tape, a Strawberry Shortcake bandage, and a Thomas the Tank Engine bandage. Perhaps this is why he became an engineer instead of going to medical school. However, my arm did heal quite nicely thanks to his doctoring.

Motorcycle Madness

We (I) have been thinking about getting a motorcycle as a second vehicle for some time now. So last weekend on May 18th we decided that we were going to take a motorcycle training class. I made Natalie take it with me so that she could learn how to ride just in case we get one. We highly recommend the class to anyone thinking about getting a bike or just wanting to learn to ride.

Sporting our new "I passed" cards. And our nifty new foot wear.

This is the gang we ride with.
REGULATORS, mount up!

The instructors were very nice and would take the time to work one on one with you if you needed. Our instructor, Kelly was this total Biker Dude. He was so nice and worked with me to get better. He asked me if I am now going to be a biker babe, I told him that I was going to get "Harley Chick" tattooed across my back. He suggested that "Harley Chic" would be more appropriate for me.

We had so much fun! When we started I had trouble making the bike start, by the end I totally had it, except for U-turns, I will just have to circle the block.

I love this picture of her. It reminds us of the Wizard of Oz, only motorized.

Quin making another Nascar lap.

And yet another.

Natalie and Quin: The Begining

Quin and I were married January 13th 2006 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. It was a Friday and we got married at 1:00 PM (13:00 hours). Thirteen must be our lucky number because it was a great day and it has been great ever since.

We honeymooned in Islamarada, FL in a not so nice hotel and moved to Las Vegas as soon as we got back. We lived there until the end of September when Quin's job ended and his company offered us a position here in Bakersfield. The best thing we can say about Bakersfield is that we don't have to scrape a few feet of snow off of our cars in the morning. Well and the people we have been meeting here have been turning out to be pretty nice! Quin recently switched jobs. He now works for a company called T.J. Cross Engineering where he is actually being an engineer. I just took a job working as a receptionist for an optometrist. We miss our family like crazy, but we are trying to get the most out of California. So keep checking back because we wish you were here and this is a way you can kind of be with us.
